The sub-camps have been excluded from the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum, however historically they are an integral part of the camp. They are looked after by the Nearby Memorials Foundation. Thanks to the commitment of its members, it has managed to partially secure the buildings, preventing further degradation.

The latest initiative is to open the Sub-camps to visitors. In addition to the buildings, which have been prepared for guided tours for those wishing to learn the full history of the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp, exhibits hiding the dark past are also made available.

Our activities allow the sad history associated with this place to see the light of day. For many years, only a fragment of it was available. Today we know a lot more and we want to pass this knowledge on. We invite you to learn more about the unknown history of Auschiwtz-Birkenau.
