Forestry
About twenty prisoners were quartered in a dwelling house and sent out to forestry work for the Pszczyna forestry board. The detachment operated from the autumn of 1942 to the spring of 1943.
The scale of this place shows how flexible the system was: a camp could be a single house, if somebody needed twenty men for work.
The building stands on the left hand side of the road, at the end of ul. Cegielniana in Pszczyna. It is a plain structure with nothing about it that suggests a camp.
Neither at the building nor anywhere near it is there any commemoration of the Auschwitz subcamp.
