Forestry

What happened here

From September 1942, with a break for the winter of 1942/1943, about twenty prisoners felled timber for the forestry board at Pszczyna. The detachment was dissolved in the autumn of 1943.

The forestry subcamps, that is Radostowice, Stara Wies, Kobior and Miedzyrzecze, formed a separate and little known group in which an ordinary residential building could serve as the camp.

What is left

The original buildings of the detachment were still standing in 2007 and 2008, during the field research of the Tiergartenstrasse4 Association.

The site is not marked. You get there only with the documentation in your hand, along road 935 from Oświęcim towards Pszczyna.
