What happened here

From August 1943 about a hundred prisoners renovated the building that had earlier housed the Central Office of the Jewish Councils of Elders. From December the strength fell to fifty people, and in February 1944 the camp was closed.

This is one of the few subcamps in which the place of quarters and the place of work were the same address.

What is left

The tenement house at ul. Targowa 12 in Sosnowiec still stands today. It held the prisoners' quarters, the rooms of the SS guards and the place of work.

There is no plaque on the building and no commemoration of the subcamp of any kind.
