What happened here

From August 1943 between two hundred and two hundred and sixty men worked here; on 17 January 1945 there were two hundred and four of them.

Wirtschaftshof Birkenau was the nearest of the camp's farms and the most closely tied to it.

What is left

The remains of the farm lie in the village of Brzezinka, about a kilometre north east of the main Birkenau gate. Post-war changes to the landscape make individual structures hard to identify.

There is no commemoration at the subcamp itself. An information board stands at the entrance to Auschwitz II-Birkenau, put up by former residents of the camp's Zone of Interest.
