What happened here

From May 1944 between fifty and two hundred and thirteen men and up to fifty women assembled electrical equipment for aircraft and submarines. In January 1945 there were two hundred and thirteen men here and probably thirty eight women.

The works belonged to Siemens-Schuckertwerke GmbH, one of several German firms that ran production directly on the grounds of a subcamp.

What is left

The buildings of the former factory stand at Bobrek near Oświęcim, on the road from Oświęcim towards Chrzanow, beyond the bridge over the Vistula on the right hand side.

Neither on the works grounds nor anywhere nearby is there a plaque or a monument commemorating the prisoners of the subcamp.
