What happened here

From April 1944 prisoners worked on the production of anti-aircraft guns at the Laura ironworks. On 17 January 1945 there were nine hundred and thirty seven of them.

The camp stood in the far northern corner of the ironworks grounds, between ul. Sienkiewicza and ul. Glowackiego.

What is left

Nothing of the camp buildings survives. The grounds of the former Laura ironworks, later the Jednosc ironworks, are in a state of advancing decay.

The subcamp is commemorated by stone plaques on the front wall of the works administration building on ul. 27 Stycznia in Siemianowice Slaskie.
