What happened here

From September 1944 about a thousand men worked at coal mining and pit work at the Charlotte mine and at the power station. On 17 January 1945 there were eight hundred and thirty three of them.

The five Rydultowy camps were under a single Lagerführer and for that reason are counted as one subcamp.

What is left

The state of preservation differs from site to site. At the first of the camps, on ul. Mickiewicza, in the so-called stables, nothing survives.

The commemoration is a large monument in the centre of the town on ul. Ofiar Terroru. About fifty metres behind it ran the Annarampe.
