What happened here

From August 1944 between six and eight hundred men worked on the expansion of the refinery. On 17 January 1945 there were six hundred and forty one of them.

The refinery belonged to the Berlin concern Kontinentale Öl AG, responsible for supplying the Reich with fuel.

What is left

The camp stood beside the refinery in the village of Trzebionka, today a district of Trzebinia. The eastern fence ran along ul. Kruczkowskiego.

On the other side of the street a monument to the victims of Nazism was unveiled in 1970, in the form of a small mausoleum with a spire.
