Ironworks
From September 1944 between eighty and two hundred men produced guns and armoured vehicles at the Bismarck ironworks. On 17 January 1945 there were a hundred and ninety two of them.
The works belonged to the Berghütte concern from Cieszyn.
During the field research between 2005 and 2008 no remains of the camp were found, not one element of a building or of the infrastructure. The camp stood on the outskirts of Chorzow-Batory.
At the time of that research there was neither a monument nor an information board at the place to indicate that a subcamp had existed.
Archival photographs of this place
Photographs and documents from the time the camp existed are held and made available by the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum in Oświęcim.
