Farm
At Harmeze the SS ran a poultry and rabbit farm and a set of fish ponds. About fifty women prisoners quartered on the spot worked here, along with a group of men who in 1943 were moved to Budy, from where they marched to work every day.
The farm was part of the agricultural base of the camp, taken over in February 1942 by the economic administration of the SS.
After the war the inhabitants came back to Harmeze and moved into the surviving buildings of the subcamp and the farm. The village grew up around them; today it has about a hundred and sixty houses.
The former Zwilling villa was rebuilt and houses a primary school, still working today.
